It's a nice smaller sized dish, to give you something different to serve smaller portions or starters with. Its not very high so it could possibly only be heated using tea lights ( I have not tried it yet). It does not compare to the normal chafing dish. But I am satisfied and it is appropriately priced. I purchased 2 and will definitely be using them, with or without heat.
