After reading the positive reviews and after much research, I ordered a sewing machine and some haberdashery extras from Ahmed’s Textiles. Delivery took 7 working days (I live a 40 minute drive from Ahmed’s), and when I phoned after 5 days to enquire about my order, it could at first not be found, then I was told to phone after lunchtime. I requested a call back after lunch time which never happened. No response to an email. Phoned the next day and was told I’d definitely have delivery that day (a Friday). After the weekend I eventually received a message to tell me that the courier had only then been booked.
When my order arrived, the sewing machine box had been opened and resealed and the haberdashery items I ordered shoved inside. One of the additional items ordered was pins. I received safety pins instead. It’s a week later and the correct pins have still not been delivered. The quality of the other items is cheap and nasty.
I will NEVER order from this establishment again and will actively advise against buying from here. The after-sales service is appalling.
