I'm an beginner/intermediate sewer and this machine has helped me step up a notch in terms of making garments and other creative projects. The 4423 is more powerful and can handle materials like leather, fur, satin and slippery material in a way my previous machine would jam and break the needles. Easy auto threader is a dream!
